NTPC Farakka hosted a spectacular female cricket match on 26th Jan 2024 at Netaji Stadium, PTS. The event featured an intense competition between the teams led by Smt. Niva Panda, President Udita Ladies Club and Smt. Sujata Patra, InCharge Bal Bhawan.

The match saw the esteemed presence of Shri Ramakanta Panda, HOP Farakka. Distinguished dignitaries like Shri AK Patra, GM (O&M); Shri Satheesh S, GM (BE & EMG); Shri Debabrata Kar, GM (Maintenance); Shri Joyotosh Kumar Dey, GM (FM); Shri SS Rao, GM (ADM & AUD); Shri Alok Kumar Ranbir, Head of HR (HOHR); along with various HODs, senior members of Udita Ladies Club, representatives of Unions and Executive Association, and other dedicated NTPC employees.

In an exciting match displaying skill and sportsmanship, the team captained by Smt. Niva Panda, President of Udita Ladies Club, emerged victorious, securing the Winner's trophy. The team led by Smt. Sujata Patra, InCharge Bal Bhawan, exhibited commendable spirit and received the Runners-up trophy.

The female cricket match, which was organised by Sports Council of NTPC Farakka, fosters inclusivity and promotes women's participation in sports.
